Wishful thinking. (though there is nothing wrong in dreaming)
I cant help feeling that this was put together by a marketing person without
any regards for what an AFOL might read into the word 'any'
Just as you could imagine them putting 'build anything you want' on a tub of
bricks. Yes, 'anything' as long as it uses the bricks in the tub.

Why do they need another Lego Creator?

I think you hit the nail on the head here. Then tried to argue that it might
be possible. Wishful thinking again.
The process of them putting together a pack that consists of 'any' brick in
'any' quantity is just not cost effective. People would be expensive,
investment in robotics would be expensive.
BUT, I wish it was true too!

| (...) I suppose that today I feel like a dreamer! :-) (...) It seems to me that they already have many of these systems in place to a certain extent. They are just not being used as effectively and efficiently as possible. Add to the mix the prices (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc, lugnet.general)

| (...) You're describing a situation that already exists, aside from the fact that he says the software will be free. Actually, it is now, assuming you eat the correct brand of breakfast cereal! "Any" is a pretty strong word. I tend to think that (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc, lugnet.general)
