    Reissue Solution: Colors —Pat Shepard
I've read discussion about the desire for reissues of various sets, (apparently) especially the classic space sets. The only problem (other than Lego not doing it ;) seems to be that it would be bad for collectors, who would lose the value invested (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Reissue Solution: Colors —Eben Hill
(...) I agree with you but doesn't the value of a set come mainly with having the original box and directions to go along with it. Sure I know that some sets are still worth is even without a box and stuff... just playing devils advocate. But I for (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Reissue Solution: Colors —Don Herko
Nothing can ever replace the original, but there is a demand for, a market for and thus potential profit in releasing a classic series. If TLG just monitored this network, they could formulate a group of sets to produce. Based on the demand of (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Reissue Solution: Colors —Christopher L. Weeks
(...) If the collector issue is a concern to TLG they could just release _Classic Space 2000_ or whatever with the same exact sets (or alterations as you've suggested) and the box would note the difference. I think that what that would do to the (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Reissue Solution: Colors —Gary R. Istok
(...) Well as someone who has a lot of older sets, I wouldn't be upset if they reissued some of the older sets. When you think of the thousands of sets that were produced since 1958, they aren't going to reissue more than a few anyway. It would (...) (26 years ago, 10-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Reissue Solution: Colors —Mike Stanley
(...) I can think of several sets that I have that could bring huge prices if I wanted to sell. I'd be THRILLED if TLG rereleased them either as exact copies or like what they did with 2150. I'd much rather have 50 6071's than 3 or 20 6086's than 2. (26 years ago, 11-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)
