Today I was talking to the Lego rep. in Brisbane, Australia (who was very friendly) and I told him that I'd seen three of the catalogues for 2001. He said that he'd only seen the range a fortnight ago (around when we did) and mentioned some of the (...) (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Other new Lego for next year —Matthew Miller
(...) Oh dear. This sounds like we haven't seen *real* juniorization yet. (...) What, a flying one? (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Other new Lego for next year —Rene Virsik
(...) My God ! I can imagine a remote controlled cars, ships... but F-14 ??? If it will be Model Team F-14 or UCS, or Developer Kit - it could be nice but I guess that THIS F-14 will be TOO MUCH juniorized... ;((( (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Other new Lego for next year —Jude Beaudin

Re: Other new Lego for next year —Greg Majewski
(...) Get real! They would make a whole slew of new huge pieces that wouldn't even be *close* to real Lego. There would probably be a dozen plastic panels that snap together... and then you'd pay $200 for the motor. (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2001)

Re: Other new Lego for next year —Kevin Zwicker
     (...) For 1200$ I would expect more than a few large hull pieces with a motor. More life 5000+ pieces and a motor :-) Kev Z #142 (24 years ago, 11-Nov-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2001)

Re: Other new Lego for next year —Peter White
(...) Just the thing to terrorise the neighbourhood...I might have preferred a VTOL aircraft, but it looks like most of the backyard will be taken up by runway. Will they use Rock Raiders lasers for weapons delivery. Will the set include a Belville (...) (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Other new Lego for next year —Steve Bliss
   (...) :) I imagine at $1200, they won't sell too many... Steve (24 years ago, 10-Nov-00, to lugnet.general)
