In Germany the Ninjas were first introduced in 1999 with the black ninjas (60XX
Sets), which were normally shown in the catalogue. Then, in late 1999, (or in
2000, don't know exactly) some new Sets arrived in the shelves, those with the
red ninjas (3050 -3053). These sets never appeared in any catalogue though, and
even the flyers that came with them only showed the older sets.
In the 2000 cat., there wasn't any trace of the ninjas anymore, and now they
are on sale with 50% off allmost everywhere around.
Looks like the theme was not selling very well here in Germany.
Is the story the same for other countries, like the US ?

| (...) That's what I was wondering If the theme's have been cancelled, why the new minifig packs? Maybe there were going to be new additions (sets) to the themes, and the themes were cancelled before they could use them? ALthough this begs the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)
