While I'm not suffering from RSI at the moment, I have earlier, but I
don't feel that this affects my LEGO building. I feel that building
with LEGO bricks is not as repetetive as typing on a computer, and hence
may perhaps not cause RSI.
That said, I can very well imagine that a person who suffers from RSI
will want to avoid building with LEGO bricks, as it undoubtedly involves
much "hand work", and thus may be painful. Perhaps it can also make the
RSI worse?
I'm just guessing here, but I would think that building with LEGO bricks
may be a good exercise for your hands. This is a good thing because
exercising the hands is probably a good preventive treatment to avoid
RSI. But on the other hand, building with LEGO bricks often involves
sitting still for a long time with your head bent down to look at the
pieces, so it may cause strain on other parts of the body, especially
the shoulders and neck.
For more information about RSI and what to do to avoid it, take a look
