I found this posted on the website. Lego has announced the purchase of
construction toy rights to Harry Potter and will release nine sets in
conjunction with the release of the Harry Potter Movie in Fall of 2001. Anyone
care to speculate on what they will look like? I haven't read the books • myself,
but it could be a boon for castle fans and include a reprise of some of the
Fright Knight materials. The page is:

Hi,

I'm not Jason, but his wife Hope (a some-time lurker, but full-time lego
hunter :-) ).  I've read the thread so far and I think there is a lot of stuff
that could be done with Harry Potter.  Just going through the first book this
is what I've come up with as possibilities:

Dursley's House (Muggle house, would work well with town)
Hagrid on Flying Motorcycle

Diagon Alley:
Leaky Cauldron (English Pub)
Gringott's (Bank run by goblins)
Madame Malkin's (clothing store)
Florish & Blotts (bookstore)
Apothocary
Ollivanders (wand shop)

Hogwarts:
Hogwarts Express (Train)
Hogwarts Boat (used to transport new students)
Carriage (used to transport returning students)
Hagrid's cottage
Quidditch field
Owlery
Forbidden Forest (cenataurs, unicorns)

Hogwarts could be broken up into small sets that could be put together to
build the castle itself.

Turret: Boys dorm room
Dungeon:  Potions classroom
Great Hall
Dumbledore's Office
Library
Gryffindor common room
Madame Pomfrey's Infirmary
Hallway (complete with suits of armor and the ghosts)

I'm looking forward to it!

Hope

(...) Oddly, my wife is asking me to post to LUGNET for the first time and it's in response to this note. (...) Don't forget the Chamber of Secrets, Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, and Hogwart's Great Hall, Hogsmeade (wizarding town), 4 Privet Drive (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)
