Miniature Lego - Set ID —Lawrence Wilkes
I have a number of pieces of what I can only describe as 'miniature' lego. It has the lego logo but is half the size (1/2 the width and 1/2 the height) of regular lego system bricks. It consists of 1 stud wide beams and 1 stud wide plates of various (...) (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Miniature Lego - Set ID —Ben Gatrelle
(...) Are the studs on top of the bricks the size of regular LEGO studs, and Do they actually have the LEGO name on top of the stud? I have never heard of a piece with studs that is only half size. Are you sure it is half? Also most (newer) LEGO (...) (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) The studs are 1/2 size too And if you use a magnifying glass there is a very clear lego logo There is no part number. Too small? I think the other reply to my post is correct. On second look, some of the pieces have an M logo, not Lego, on (...) (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Miniature Lego - Set ID —John Gerlach
(...) Sounds like 'Modulex' bricks. Lego made them in the 1960's for use by architects to build buildings. They're about 60% (best guess) the size of standard Lego bricks. I've got maybe a dozen or so in different colors - including several colors (...) (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) I think you may be correct. On second look, some of the pieces have an M logo, not Lego, on each stud. Presume M = Modulex They are perhaps closer to 60% than 50% size too as you say. regards lawrence (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Miniature Lego - Set ID —Gary R. Istok
(...) Modulex came out in 1963, same year as LEGO small plates (1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 only). Was there a correlation? Was the short lived Architectural LEGO line, also introducend in 1963 via sets #750, 751, 752, and hard plastic box parts packs (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

I would love to see a picture of these type bricks up against some regular bricks, if possible... I am somewhat ignorant in this field of LEGO EC (25 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Miniature Lego - Set ID —Jeff Thompson
(...) This isn't a picture of the Modulex (minature lego) bricks, but check it out - Modulex is still in business as a subsidiary of LEGO. Check the picture out! The signs look like giant LEGO elements. You can definitely sense the LEGO heritage. (...) (25 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)
