I use OE, and subscribe to both, and haven't had any problems. You need to
subscribe to an actual newsserver in order to receive RTL. It should have
a few default accounts available.
Go to tools/accounts and then select the news tab. If none are there other
than lugnet, try adding one, you will have a wizard pop up.
Use mine, news.virgin.net and then go through the wizard steps, and give it
a try. If asked, nntp port is 119.
My server does carry quite a few useful groups, especially the clari.*
news feed groups.
Hopefully success for you!
