    Woo-hoo! I've been outed! —Dave Schuler
   Today at work we did our "Secret Santa" exchange, with an unspoken $10 limit on gifts. I was stuck when I tried to come up with a small gift, because, due to my need for instant commercial gratification, most things under $10 that I want I've (...)      Hehe, I don't HAVE to drop it into conversations - my obsession hits people like a ton of bricks ;-) (URL) a look at my cube and my computer.       Too expensive - my computer tower cover ended up costing me over $100 by the time I got through, even though I had at least 30-40% of the parts to start with in my spare bricks stock. What I WANTED to do was cover several square yards of the outer (...) (25 years ago, 23-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

   (...) Rachael and I both have Landspeeders on our monitors at work. I get comments on them all the time. In fact, I didn't build the one on my monitor - one of our student lab managers saw me unpacking a box full of them and asked if he could put (...) (25 years ago, 24-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
