I was browsing the European catalog at www.lego.com, and came across this set. (URL) I just about roflmao'ed. It's too much like set 666, BURP Adventure. I know this is just a temporary setup, until they announce more details (see the description). (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Now THIS is a great set! It invites creativity without restrictions like a blank canvas to a painter. This is definitely for the builder who thinks so far outside the box that the set is not even in the box! I'm joking of course. Steve, you (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) of the alternate model, instead of the main model. It's hard to really appreciate the main model that way. It must have been a pre-production picture, before they decided for sure which was the main model. (...) You're welcome. Steve (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Actually this maybe a good set...(well for me that is). On the very bottom of Seaborn Brick I'm using bricks stacked up 2 bricks high, in an order that makes the very bottom deck strong and durable....but, since Seaborn Brick is so long and (...)       (...) So what would you do with the Scala walls and roof pieces? BTW, does anyone know if this set is new for 2000, or this is just an out-of- date catalog entry, which should be cleaned up? Steve (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Later last night (or this morning) I kept thinking about this... Could this be the beginning of bulk ordering... ? (mythical future conversation) Me: Yes, I would like to order 300 tan 2x4 bricks. LD: Oh, you want the 3001-65 set. Each one has one (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) WOW, it looks like the old 700e baseplate (10x20) used since the 1950's, which I haven't seen around in a long time. The white plate shown here was discontinued in the late 70's or early 80's (along with the gray one). The yellow, green, red (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
