  Maersk and Lego

I was going to post this with the debate on the 10152 sets in Maersk blue instead of dark blue, but I didn't want to get involved. Forbes Magazine says that in Denmark there are only 2 billionaire (milliarden) families. The one that owns Lego and (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.color)

  Really cool birthday present...

The other day I received what is probably one of the most thoughtful, unique and overall cool ('cause I dig this kind of thing) gifts I've received in recent times. From a non-AFOL no less I got these really nice prints of the Toy Building Brick (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.general)

  Re: rarest printed parts?

(...) Great pics of the named bricks Clark! The highest price I have ever seen for a named beam is $35 for an "AD 1762" from the #309 Church set. The #309/#1309 sets from 1957-63 had 3 different names "1762", "AD 1762" and "ANNO 1762", and are all (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: rarest printed parts?

(...) There are several named beams that would qualify as rare. Here's some of them: (URL) (warning big page) (URL) (warning big page) Most of those are 1960's or before. Some of the rarer ones I've seen are the green prints, the Swedish/Danish VW (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

Argumentative paper I wrote for College

Hello, I was recently given the opportunity to write an argumentative research paper on any topic I wanted so, of course, LEGO® was an obvious choice. Basically, I wrote about what I did and didn't like about the company and what I'd do to change (...) (21 years ago, 19-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

  rarest printed parts?

What are the rarest printed parts? I own both of the printed 1 x 6 x 5 astronaut bricks from classic space (and some other printed classic space bits) but I have the feeling there are rarer printed bits out there. (21 years ago, 18-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

  Announcing Classic-Space Forums

Hello fellow Spacers and maniacs who like space stuff! Since I know we can't ever talk about Lego Space enough, there's a place set up just for it. (URL) -Tom McD. (URL) (21 years ago, 19-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce, lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2004, FTX) !!

  Rarest Lego Road Plate

It has been very quiet in lugnet.general lately.... Most collectors are not aware of this road plate (on EBAY, two are shown): (URL) was the first ever ABS Lego road plate, and was produced from 1970-72, only for the USA Samsonite Lego market. It is (...) (21 years ago, 18-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Where from this coupling comes?

(...) It's a standard train coupling that was used in the late 60's. It comes with piece number 3176 (plate 3x2 with hole) or 737 (plate 2x4 with coupling, female). Examples: sets 80, 111, 112, 113, 116, 117, 903,... We had set 112, so I remembered (...) (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

  Where from this coupling comes?

Hi! I've got such old couplings: (URL) More (really not more...) on Peeron: (URL) Do somebody know where those couplings were used? How old are they? What is their possible value (are they rare or not)? Thank you very much for each reply! Luca (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) Ahhh, that's a relief:-) I appreciate all of the hard work you are putting into this project of yours, and I'm not even aware of half the work that you are doing on it!   1 x 3 bricks in transparent dark blue

Does anyone know where 1 x 3 bricks in transparent dark blue would be from? Bricklink has some for sale but neither bricklink not peeron can tell me what set they came in. (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Is this a Lego part or not?

(...) It appears to be shredded pieces from several MB palm branches to me. Though some of them could be the ferns as well... Interesting use of the the "Semi-Lego" Galidor leg pieces as well. C-Ya, Rich (21 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general, FTX)
