Re: Color change: Let's go straight to the CEO!

(...) Hi there, I understand this situation... love it or hate it... the colours I'd like changed back, light/dark grey and brown, also minifigs to be as they are known and loved 'yellow'. For me that represented something different, no-one is (...) (21 years ago, 28-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: TRU 500 piece bonus bucket question

(...) Hi Jonathan, I went through my bonus tubs and found the piece of which you speak only in the one 2714. Four 2814s didn't have any. But don't despair, there's plenty of variation in the bonus boxes. Peace and random selections, Ley, aka (...) (21 years ago, 28-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: I Just Don't See It

(...) Peter I agree. I too have a lot of old bricks. Many of the white mint bricks I have from the 1970's have "tanned" as well, due to sunlight. Interestingly enough, I think that Cellulose Acetate white bricks keep their whiteness better than ABS (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: I Just Don't See It

(...) This causes a big difference. Do not be fooled, this is the most annoying thing about building white models for me. A lot of my Lego is 20+ years old and has been in direct sunlight. The white is a totally different colour, it's really (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Sort-of-poll: Your most common Lego dream?

SNIP (...) Hi Jeff, A grim scenario :-) I had a lego dream too, a few weeks ago. It was very strange. There's this loco I'd been working on, and I've taken a printout of a real world picture of it for the build. Anyway, in the dream, I realised that (...)   Re: Sort-of-poll: Your most common Lego dream?

(...) i just had another dream: there were new Lego sets pre built on top of red & blue small buckets. surprisingly, none of the sets had missing pieces. one building in particular was a gray 2-story townhouse with white trim & flat roof (on a red (...)   Re: Set #271 Policemen

(...) Hi Ronald, I have seen that page. I believe that there is an old Netherlands catalog that shows this as well. I even have some old 50's parts packs with the extra "1" (written with Danish "System i leg") that were sent to Germany. The problem (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Set #271 Policemen

(...) ...snip... Hi Gary, thanx for the additional infos. In one point I cannot agree to you by my current knowledge: The extra "1" was also used for sets in Germany. In an old German catalog sheet from 1957 (Jan Beyer from TLC got the date from the (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Color change: Let's go straight to the CEO!

(...) If you insist on going at this, why don't you do a petition from a more representative group of LEGO's customers, namely parents? (And they can sign on behalf of their children if you want, as you probably don't want to be "using" children for (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Color change: Let's go straight to the CEO!

(...) Don't confuse not getting everything you want and them not being concerned with you. It's impossible to please everyone (including themselves), so they have to make tough decisions. It doesn't mean they're not concerned with the people those (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)
