 | | New colors in a set from 2002?

(URL) [LEGOSet 3929] Here's all I know: Christina and I received two #3929s and two #3928 in March of 2004. One 3929 and both 3928s have 100% old colors. The specific, unopened 3929 pictured above has all old light grey, with the notible exception (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.color, lugnet.general, FTX)

Apart from LEGO are there any known issues where bricks have been made by other companies with the LEGO mark/logo on but not looking quite the same (smaller/different text)? The reason I ask is that I have been buying LEGO by the kilo+ on Ebay and (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)

 | | LENNI Specification v0.2 Request For Comment

Thanks so far to everyone who's participated in the LEGO Enthusiast News Network Initiative (LENNI) discussions. I've gotten a very clear idea of what types of things should be in this proposal, and have completed the draft of version 0.2, which is (...) (...) I like this solution. The schema can be used not only for validation, but can be pulled to get the list of possible values. Quick question though - can't the list of allowed values be specified in the DTD, which we're going to maintain anyway? (...) | | Set 4518
|
|
Has anyone heard of Set 4518? It is a set of basic blocks in a cardboard box and carries a sticker saying 500 pieces + 300 extra. I wondered if anyone else has seen this set (and possibly got it) and has any idea what the 300 extra pieces are. (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-04, to lugnet.general)
