  Re: Dozen LEGO Roses

(...) Yep, they were selling them as early as early December. They are glued together, with a different petal arrangement (made from sloped bricks). I didn't do too badly in the wife favor department after delivering her one. Especially since it (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Dozen LEGO Roses

(...) It's a beautiful job, John! I like yours better than the originals. Nicely done! I may, at some future time, try to 'reverse engineer' your roses ;) Take care, Dave (22 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: AFOLs - The comic!

This is a great series of comics!!! It takes a bit too long in the introduction of each word perhaps, but all the jokes are so spot on it's not a major issue. And it's for everyone else anyways. I was rolling reading these! And yes, I even thought (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.org, FTX)

The second is mine: (2 URLs) As you can see, I made a better attempt to simulate more petals on (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Dozen LEGO Roses

(...) On Valentine's Day LegoLand CA was selling (Lego) roses. Eight bucks or so before discounts. Glued together. My wife and I were there with several sets of cousins and I scored big points buying her one. Matt (22 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Dozen LEGO Roses

(...) Nope. Mine are vastly superior in design:-) Initially I thought to simply copy those, but when I actually took a look at their design, I knew I could do a better job, so I did. JOHN (22 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Anyone know of a good source of non-basic black parts?

(...) Offhand, I can't think of any sets in particular that have an abundance of greebly bits in black that are on the shelves. I've noticed that the mini sets tend to have a fair amount of greebly parts, and they are cheap, but I don't think that (...)   Re: StudWars presents : .castle vs. .space !!!

(...) It's funny you mention barrels in the .castle category, nowadays, we see barrels as reactors on space ships quite often. As for the prefab walls, you are right, they do serve mainly to create structures, but big engines can't be used in (...)
