Re: A positive thing about the color change . . . no, really!!

(...) Sure -- I don't think anyone is arguing that there's a problem with *new* colors. It's the loss of the old that's sad/disappointing/ba...fortunate. (22 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Better Pictures...

(...) But clever reuse of parts from different themes in new contexts is a long-time Lego staple! (22 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

A positive thing about the color change . . . no, really!!

Hey all, Just the bought the MINI AT-TE and Star Destroyer. Didn't notice the change in light grey much but dark gray screamed at me right from the start. Compared to Classic Dark Grey (that's what I call it) it does indeed appear much more (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Better Pictures...

I agree with Greg that not one of these sets looks good to me either. I miss brick beams. I also think the fairing pieces in place of brick beams actually detract from the model. It doesn't look as "solid" as the old stuff. The two metal hooks in (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Artists in lego

(...) The creators' actual website popped up in this thread: (URL) general thought seemed to be "It's cute, but waaaaaay overpriced". I mean, I can look at the shark tank MOC and build an exact duplicate for under $15 by buying everything off of (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Homebrewed LEGO USB Dongle

(...) (URL) This one is far superior.> Apologies for replying to my own post, but at least I'm not complaining about color changes or the sky falling. Woo hoo! Go sky staying up! (22 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Better Pictures...

Thank you Lego! The more I see of these sets the easier it will be not to buy any of them. Bionicle parts have no business in true Technic sets. They are different themes and should be kept that way! Cutting corners by using those parts in sets like (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Duplo-name confirmed to be reborne

(...) I thought the use of those prefixes goes waaayyy back to earlier times...like maybe latin? The main source of most of the romance languages? DU --- double/two QUAT - Four primo--perhaps coming from "prime" meaning "first"?? (or some (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.duplo)

  Artists in lego

I found (URL) site> recently, obviously the creator is a lego fan to some extent but whether the work is all the legoing they do I don't know. Interesting though. I think my favorite is (URL) Tim (22 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Better Pictures...

There are some better pictures of the 4 new Technic sets: (URL) that I have seen them closer...nothing special in that mini-technic set...the airplane is nice and actually the Bionicle blades look good...the 4WD is nice but there isn't anything that (...)
