  Re: more new scans

(...) Looks like a Mayan-esque theme to me... I remember reading about predictions for the upcoming Adventurer's theme, and one of the ideas was an Aztec type temple... I think this is very much along those lines. What does the leave for (...) (26 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

  MODEL TEAM & Town Jr.

Heya all ! My opinion is that this TN JR. thing is a big shit. I loved this old TOWN & SPACE models from 80's. They was great ! I only hope that it will be something new by my favorite serie - MODEL TEAM ! Bye ! Rene virsik@us.svf.stuba.sk (26 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

  more new scans

So I went to the web site with the 1999 catalog scans and saw he got the catalog from a Bi-Wing Baron at Fred Meyer. SO I decide what the heck, I'll go to Fred Meyer and get a Bi-Wing. So I do, and wah lah! I got the catalog. The interesting thing (...) (26 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

"we must lengthen the shuttle body to create some storage space for cargo bay since we added our incredible(!) light&sound features to this model, but we couldn't make wings and tail a little bigger, since we were run out of ABS because of enlarging (...)   1999 Sets...shameful?

ThrowBots -- it looks as if they can actually stand on their on as their joints appear to use a crude ball-in-socket system. I'll probobably end up with all of them because I love Technic. How about the return of Model Team? Ninja -- the new Ninja (...) (26 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

Looks like the back half of the shuttle is a light-and-sound element. If the shuttle was any shorted, it would not have any cargo space. (see my message in the "Thoughts on 1999 sets" thread). (...) (26 years ago, 1-Nov-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.starwars)

  Target Halloween buckets.

I was at my local Target at 8:00am and there was a mad rush of people snapping up all of the clearance stuff. I then went to four more Targets that make a nice circle back to my house (I was gone a total of an hour and a half), by the time a got to (...) (26 years ago, 1-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

(...) In the old game, they were my favorite too, for a gemeral purpose craft, especially when the striking side was the rebels. I remember destroying more than 60 T/F T/B T/I assortment and 5 blockade runners at a time w/o any wingmen while the (...) (26 years ago, 1-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

(...) Yeah that's why the A wing was my favorite -- once you get good at flying it, nobody's fast enough to touch you. (26 years ago, 1-Nov-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

(...) I dunno. It's certainly a lot bigger than any Town Jr. vehicles I can think of. And while I agree that the wings are too small, that's a fairly typical flaw of lego aircraft -- and since it's Lego, that's not too hard to fix. I think the (...)   Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

(...) Unfortunatelly, you seem to be right. Look at these ugly proportions between the shuttle body, wings and tail...:-( Selçuk (26 years ago, 1-Nov-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

I'm sure that at least one could return . In the scene in which deathstar blown-up at the back ground, at least one Y-wing was accompanying to the several (2 or 3) X-wings. By the way, in the old X-wing computer game, the Y-wings were quite reliable (...) (26 years ago, 1-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)
