  Re: Women and Eric?

(...) Recently, I used the "just don't bring the Lego addiction up until she loves you" tactic. Then it is too late for her. It worked great! Now I'm getting married next year. Bob (22 years ago, 3-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Women and Eric?

(...) It isn't the woman's plastic content, but the suggestion that I'm good with my hands in a delicate, gentle, passionate way. I dunno why, but women tend to like that quality in a man. of course, the concept of a woman with LEGO implants is (...) (22 years ago, 3-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: looking for 2004 set pictures

(...) I got the new starwars sets, and they only seem to have 2003 catalogs in them. I did see the new fireboat at Toys R Us the other day (little speedboat thing, $7.99). It's possible that it has a 2004 catalog in it, but I haven't picked on up (...) (22 years ago, 3-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2004)

Re: looking for 2004 set pictures

Good luck on finding new pictures. Seems that TLG has been especially tight with the new product line up this year. I got a 4400 Tub over the weekend and it simply contained the Idea Book. No catalog, no small folded catalog, no nothing. Bummer. (...) (22 years ago, 3-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2004)

Re: taking lego electrical parts on airplane

I think you'll be okay - I took various bits of an R/C plane last time I flew, complete with wires hanging out everywhere etc and they didn't even give it a second glance. "Jonathan Wilson" <jonwil@tpgi.com.au> wrote in message (...) (22 years ago, 3-Dec-03, to lugnet.general)

taking lego electrical parts on airplane

Speificly a train motor. I am worried that some underpaid security lacky might see it show up on the xray machine and flag it as "potentially dangerous". Sounds silly I know but with all this talk about "better security at airports" (where even a (...) (22 years ago, 3-Dec-03, to lugnet.general)

Lid must touch Cup (was: Re: A new P.A.B. 2X4 Record!)

(...) I'm kind of kidding here: Can you place the lid *under* the cup-- still touching the cup-- and proceed to stack the bricks much much taller than the top edge of the cup...say 3, 4, 5 feet tall, or as tall as the store ceiling? I'm not so sure. Is it possible that eBay sent the guy an e-mail on your behalf? If this is the case, then it is probably an anti-spam measure.
