Re: New colors and other info (ATTN JAKE)

(...) Yep. The parts that people are seeing today have probably been in the supply chain for 3-6 months. The decision would have been made even farther back. And there are several months (minimum) of new color parts in the supply chain now destined (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  What Government cover up?

"This is the evening news. Let's go now to our field reporter Renaldo Riviera." (2 URLs) "This is Renaldo Riviera on the banks of the stinky muddy river with Mr. R.V.   Re: New colors and other info (ATTN JAKE)

(...) What could Jake say that would "calm the storm"? I really doubt, beyond saying that the colors will stay the same, anything he says will make a difference to the people that are upset at this point. jt (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: New colors and other info (ATTN JAKE)

(...) In Jake's defense ... I sent him an unrelated email today, and immediately received an out of office auto-reply. He's out of town until Monday, with limited email access. So, I assume this also means limited internet access. He does have other (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: What Did Consumer Affairs Say When You Called???

(...) When I called a couple of days ago, the woman I talked to at Consumer Affairs didn't know about the change. She called me back the next day and gave me the standard line about palette changes for 'sharpness' and 'clarity', but didn't know (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

I AGREE THAT NEW COLORS ARE GREAT BUT REPLACING CURRENT COLORS IS A BAD IDEA. Ralph Döring, 32 I really liked the introduction of very light grey in the LEGO mosaic. Why didn't TLG use it in any other sets ? Or did I miss them ? With more shades of (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Color Change - Call Consumer Affairs

(...) I just spoke with someone at Consumer Affairs and explained (very calmly) how the color change would affect serious modelers and train clubs. I was quoted the standard line about "the quality of the bricks has not changed." I then explained (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: New colors and other info (ATTN JAKE)

(...) Do you see what you are saying here? You are proving a point that TLG obviously ignored. If the mass public won't care, and the most vocal, most fervert fans are shocked at the idea, then WHY would they possibly decide to stop making the (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)
