Hey all, Just picked up two copies of # 4098 High Flyers and the parts are awesome. These sets also contained a 2003 catalog. Lots of famliar images, but the pictures give a much better look at some of the awesome parts and colors we'll be getting. (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) This seems to say that Lugnet is old. In my mind, Lugnet is still one of the more recent LEGO communities. When alt.toys.lego (which came years before rec.toys.lego) became a Usenet newsgroup, it certainly met your definition of a community. (...) (...) And a good one. All I can say is, I agree. I've seen Mindstorms books in brick and mortar stores, why not an Idea Book of some kind? If not the Designer Sets book, then a more generalized one?
