  Re: Coolest LEGO Experience?

I don't know that I can pick out a single "coolest" experience, but here's a sample. I've had tons of fun at various fests around the country. Meeting a bunch of people who thought I was in my 20's or 30's (when I was actually 17) at Mindfest in (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

Re: Lego Creator Deluxe Game at Target...

(...) FYI this game is on clearance at Target. Right now it is 50% off at my local Target (La Mesa, CA) - but they still have most of the stuff 30% off there for some reason... Did we ever figure out if this is the only place to get the fig with the (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Coolest LEGO Experience?

(...) Wow, I'm flattered. I remember meeting Todd at Mindfest99 at MIT. Made a fool of myself :) It was fun playing around with the 2 wheeled wire control car later that weekend...   Worthless Brickshelf galleries ( was Another "borrowed" picture...)

(...) I hardly use Brickshelf at all any more because it has lost any advantages it use to have: 1) It's no longer instant because of moderation 2) It has a worse noise to content ratio than RTL 3) It's often slow (not that my own cheapo site is (...)   Re: Another "borrowed" picture...

(...) Just wanted to clear up my attitude here... I'm (pretty) sure no malice was intended here, and I am a bit flattered that people like my stuff enough to copy it. However, I sometimes wish there was a way to contact people to encourage them to (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Now does this qualify as good Lego marketing?

(...) Hear, Hear!! They're especially useful for lighting the old gas lantern so you can see your plastic pieces enough to build with them while you're out camping. Watch you don't let them get too close, though! That would be brick abuse! And use a (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Pods are good! (caution: longish)

Hang in there, Dude! Just have fun. Let the kids play. Don't be too serious. Feel the Force FLOWWWWWWWing within you...and in the Brick...and in the Tile...and you, too, will one day be able the ship to lift as easily as a feather you lift . Peace (...)   Re: Another "borrowed" picture...

By the looks of the other images in the folder, and the fact that most of them are Bionicle, I'm making the gross generalization that this is some kid on some Bionicle website gathering random pictures together for random things that will amount to (...) "I have to admit I've been in something of a "grey age" for a while. The threat of iminent "downsizing" at work tends to do that to a guy.   Re: Now does this qualify as good Lego marketing?

(...) The way to know whether it is an official Zippo product (and not a clone) is to check the bottom. There should be an engraved Zippo logo there. (Your pics don't show the bottom.) ...Where did you find these? I would imagine that Zippo might (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Big Pine Tree - Is it LEGO?

(...) Lego did make a pink 2 x 4 - I have 2 of them. You can see one of them here: (URL) it only came out in one of those pink freestyle sets a few years back (not sure which one off the top of my head). But I also scanned it so you can see it is (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Big Pine Tree - Is it LEGO?

(...) There is also what appears to be a pink 2 x 4 next to the tree, AFAIK it's not availible in pink: (URL) my guess is it's a clone. What action site BTW? /Tobbe (23 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Big Pine Tree - Is it LEGO?

Seen on a Swedish action site: (URL) has 12 "layers" and looks like LEGO, but I've never seen it before. If it is LEGO, from which set is it? /Tore (23 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)
