Re: Preview of new 2003 sets - no longer on the site

(...) It looks like the items have been removed from the site (the direct links still work though) Brickset.com still has them (URL) VW (23 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.year.2003, lugnet.general)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

(...) Lugnet also has rules about leaks... Here is a clarification by Todd of Lugnet's TOS regarding leaks: (URL) lugnet.admin.general Frank (23 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

(...) I'm not so sure about this. With the exception of Shifty bricks, I can't think of any current clone brands that do much copying from LEGO, certainly not to the extent that they'd lurk around fan sites to cull secret, leaked information. What (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

(...) Well (I do not post this as an argument for or against in the discussion), that seems to be exactly what has happened now. All sets not available to the general public yet, have been taken off the Marz Distribution site. With friendly (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Coolest LEGO Experience?

(...) Hmm, I may have a new coolest LEGO experience... This year I got several brick presents for Christmas. The first one I opened was a plastic case of used LEGO my mom had found in a yardsale. Insider were the instructions for 6391, and a bunch (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

(...) Hi Joe - I believe a dealer catalog, obtained by and scanned by an individual who is not a dealer and placed on the internet would constitute a leak. I recall being at LEGO's office in NYC a couple years ago and having to almost beg for a (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

(...) Joe, My definitions were more based on the usage at fbtb.net, where there is a strong "no discussion of leaks" policy. Bruce (23 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

(...) Hm. Apparently I'm a bit more liberal in my categorizations, as Bruce does have a valid point in LEGO/store communications. A counterpoint to this, though would be while the first two could constitute leaks, the Marz site would not...to a (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

(...) Tough question. A leak is an item of information that is NOT meant to be released. Most, if not all of your examples that you cited were meant to be released to, at least initially, to the dealers who sell LEGO. As such, I wouldn't list these (...)   Re: Understanding Leaks

Paul, The policy at fbtb is that there should be no discussion of leaks. The policy at lugnet, on the other hand, is pretty much anything goes. So feel free to discuss these here at Lugnet, but refrain from doing so on fbtb. As to your examples, the (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Understanding Leaks

Hi All, This may have been covered before, but as a relative newbie, I'd like to better understand what is meant when people talk about "leaks." I've noticed a number of folks talk about leaks in both LUGNET and FBTB, and gotten the impression that (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)
