Hey, with all these people having multiples of this set (including myself) I expect to see a *complete* 18 wheeler at some point. KL (...) (26 years ago, 26-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 1999 Dutch Catalogue Online

(...) On the subject of the 8446 green crane, it's interesting to see that it makes use of many pieces from the Slizer-line: (URL) uses Slizer feet as headrests and light holders. And Slizer heads for gripper device. I don't understand much Dutch, (...) (26 years ago, 25-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Removing printing from lego parts

(...) This may not work as well on translucent, as even though you get the surface to tactilely and reflectivly be the same, it may still be a bit fogged. Worth a shot though, and sure to work on solid color pieces. (26 years ago, 25-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: After X-mas sales

I'm excited to check out my regular Wal-Mart due to what I heard some Lego reps discussing.   Re: After X-mas sales

(...) Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your perspective, Target is already running a 40% off sale that has really cleared out the shelves. At least that's the case at my local Target (So. CA). About the only thing left are Mag Wheel (...) (26 years ago, 25-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Removing printing from lego parts

Do you hate the printing on the u.f.o parts? Well I have used a technique from my years of scale modeling to remove stupid printing from Lego pieces. By using various grades of automotive sandpaper and Blue Magic metal polish. I buy it in the (...) (26 years ago, 25-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  New Catalog

I just got the new Out of this World catalog today with the Star Wars sets. The SW sets look nice, but the rest is severely lacking. Are there any hgh quality SW scans online yet? If not, I can scan them in. My grievance is with Town. I'll be (...) (26 years ago, 25-Dec-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: lego.com catalogue updates

(...) Hrmmm, what's the general opinion on the value of those packs at $4.50 each? I don't have a S@H catalog in front of me, so I can't compare them to the older red or blue packs. (26 years ago, 24-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
