Re: If you sort by color. . .when did you start?

(...) How in the heck did you get that many Legos? I think I have about 30,000, probably 15,000 in the apart status. My friend and I sorted them into colors nad put them into 2 gallon ziplock bags. Some colors fill the bags, others don't. We (...) (26 years ago, 19-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

If you sort by color. . .when did you start?

After sorting some pieces tonight, I got to thinking. Due to shear numbers (now over 22,000 pieces) I have begun sorting things like 1Xn plates, 2Xn bricks, and 2Xn plates by color. If you do sort by color, then when did you start? It seems to me (...) (26 years ago, 19-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: STAND BACK! Rob Farver is going to have a heart attack!!!

(...) Sheesh ;P That's cool, they're finally recognizing interest in specialty elements in colors other than red and blue. I would be even happier if they made them in white, then again, I can make some modular transports with a black color (...) (26 years ago, 19-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: More colored Gems and Wands!!

(...) Wow. I wonder, though, if we'll be able to order these here in the US or if we're going to have to find another way to get them? (26 years ago, 19-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Theory on Holey Bags

Another theory: The amount of air in holey bags can change, making the bags more flexible than a bag filled with air, and therefore easier to grab and pull open. Also, the holes provide texture which keeps the bag from slipping out of your fingers. (...) (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  lego.com catalogue updates

Looks like Lego has updated their on-line catalogue - I noticed a couple people posting with new things they saw up, and I think, from some of the things I saw up, that they've added all the currently available 1999 sets - I saw two of the new Ninja (...)   Re: Help me with name of a piece

(...) Would that be piece #3048, "Slope Brick 45 1 x 2 Triple" (a la LDraw)? I wouldn't mind a few of those in black. What set is 2872? Cheers, - Sproat (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Help me with name of a piece

I know this piece has been named before, but in 2872 there is a small black sloped brick - one of them. It looks like a pyramid that has been sliced in half vertically, 1 brick tall. Trying to find out what the name of this is for my next parts (...) (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Theory on Holey Bags

(...) That's one of the ways I open bags of chips -- I carefully hit the bag between my hands, with just the right amount of extension. If I do it right, the bag bursts on the seam. If I do it wrong, the bag bursts on the bottom seam. Or I end up (...) (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: upcoming books from Lego

(...) If these are what I think they are, the Zany Brainy in San Mateo (really, it's closer to Foster City, but who's counting?) has these in stock. I was ... unimpressed. Will I get them anyway? Probably. :-) I did only have a few moments to look, (...) (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
