I need to ask a question of the community

Hey gang,

I am making preparations for a massive adventure that (I hope) will span two or
more sectors.

I need to know if this will create a problem or will be against the rules or
something. I have not seen anything that would be against this, so I am putting
this question to the community for them to decide.

My upcoming adventure will do two things: one, it will consolidate the next four
adventures for Cruan'atan sector into one; and two, it will be a massive
campaign that will embroil both the Granth and Cruan'atan sectors and will
require players to possibly travel from one to the other.

And while I am letting cats out of bags here, I need to ask what are other
players thoughts on activities involving this adventure spilling out into other
sectors?

What exactly I had in mind is like a high speed pursuit into another sector, or
two opposing ships accidently meeting in another sector while on trade mission
or whatever and then slugging it out. Naturally, the SM's of those sectors have
full say in what happens and all that and call the shots as it were, but it is
an idea I had to really make this epic and to involve other players/SMs in order
to keep them active. If I am over stepping my bounds, let me know, and I'll keep
my affairs to my own backyard.

By the way, the reason why I am asking this is that my two sectors are pretty
far spread apart and there would be a lot of trans-galactic travel that would
affect things outside of my two sectors' borders. And, I was thinking thoughts
about a real unifying galaxy where instances in one part of the pond ripple
across and have effects on other parts of the pond. Like for example, Andrew is
doing a neat adventure that would be even neater if it were more galactic
threatening. As an SM I would be sure to send a ship over there to save my own
sorry hide over here.

Well, that third thing is not apart of what I am asking, just a thought I wanted
to post. Think over the first two, post here or e-mail me.

-Avery

In lugnet.gaming.starship, Avery Christy wrote about stuff he'd like to do. Sounds fine by me. To my mind travel between two of your own sectors you can pretty much mediate yourself. There are rules on how fast different kinds of ships could cross (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.gaming.starship)

(...) Well, it sounds cool. If you're gonna send people to other sectors, however, you need to either co-ordinate with that SM or simply give the team a single objective (i.e. pick up the Space Artifact that is located on planet Gork). With the (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.gaming.starship)
