This really is sad to hear. You have been one of the integral members of this
group all along... heck since before I was here! I for one hope that your
departure from the brick in general does not last long, even if your online
decline does.
If this only lasts several weeks, I doubt it will affect Starship. If you are
gone for months or years, then I must ask how would you like us to handle your
ships and sectors? Traditionally, when an SM has told me they would be out for
a while, I have offered to change the Sector Registry to read that the sector is
"Temporarily closed to travel". Would you like the same? As a player, would
you also like all your ships to return home as soon as possible? This would
make sense to me. Let me know.
In the end, I do understand how things can be. There are always things in life
that will be more important than our hobbies. But those who stay behind will
not forget you and we await your triumphant return (hopefully one that is
accompanied with an adventure sector full of new ships). :-)
