Ya, that’s from taking multiple shots in certain cases from slightly different vantage points.

   Actually, can I ask what you used to make the montage?

I used various pnmtools (djpeg, cjpeg, pnmpaste, etc.) to resize and center the images, then ppmtompeg to make the montage. All under OS X 10.3, but it would be just as easy under Linux. It took about 20 minutes of computation on a Dual-2GHz G5.

   What kind of camera?

  • Camera: Canon EOS 10D
  • Lens: Canon EF 20mm F2.8 USM
  • Shutter control: Canon TC-80N3 intervalometer
  • Exposure: 3.2 seconds at f/22
