You're going to want more time than that.

The Ohio battle wasn't medieval, it was TL6. There were 2500 CP on each
side. Primarily mecha with a few grunts on one side, and a crapload of
grunts and cheaper weaponry on the other side. We played for 2 days (about
18 hours total) and killed maybe half the troops and 3/4 of the vehicles.
The battle was ended when Gino lost his last large mech.
I don't know about total unit numbers, but I'd say conservatively around
100-150 total things on the field. With only 2 sides, it took close to an
hour and a half to do a complete turn. But Gino and I tend to bicker about
rules, and we had Jedi using the force which really mucks stuff up.

Using platoons, where all the troops in each platoon attack a single target
is likely the best method of controlling huge armies (unless you REALLY want
to drive yourself insane.) And make up your own rules. That's part of the fun.

| Yeah, I'd love to play a giant Medival Brikwars. I don't know about the timing though. We are having a meeting of WAMALUG next weekend (the 9th I think). Planning for that may be short notice. Unfortunately, I go live with a huge system at work over (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.gaming)
