  Re: new trains

I have pretty much put immediate Lego purchases on hold based on the notion that Lego will be releasing new train items soon. Even with some of the bargains going around right now, I would much rather have new 9v train items than a bunch of $10 (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.fun, lugnet.trains)

(...) Chris, what you are referring to is what's known as DCC or Digital Command Control. And given the recent alliance between Microsoft and LEGO, I also think we can expect to see this trend in most upcoming LEGO products. I only hope that they (...)   Re: funny Lego auction on ebay

(...) There was another funny thing I noticed recently! One seller had stated in his description that the auction included all that was in the picture. Well in half of his auctions, he had a dollar bill in the picture to show the scale. I was (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.fun)

  new trains

OK, so we have lots of really strong hints (basically statements) that there is going to be a new/changed line of Lego trains coming out soon. As one of the people who doesn't know what it is, I'm darned near dying of curiosity. So, it ocurred to (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.fun, lugnet.trains)

Re: funny Lego auction on ebay

(...) Heh, I don't think I would have caught that without your 'joke'. :) Perhaps I'm slowing down. Wow, imagine a town set that takes as long as the UCS X-wing to build! What a find! Maybe I'll win the auction and then complain to him that it (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.fun)

What's with the attack of the Jell-0 Monsters sets?

The subject is self-explanatory. If those damn things aren't Jell-O molds, I don't know WHAT they are... What were the people at LEGO design THINKING...? Rob (24 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.fun)

  Re: Crossword 002

Ah! Those are great ideas. thanks. It is commonly misspelled (I think), it got by three people. But heck, with such a grid you get two clues per square and the other one is easy. My x-word software has acronym help built in. I'll try that too. The (...) (24 years ago, 26-Dec-00, to lugnet.fun)

  Re: Crossword 002

(...) Bummer. I hope you saved it! I don't suppose the word is one where the misspelling is a common variant or common mistake? I once saw a puzzle where the clue was of the form "common misspelling of the word that means x", which means to me that (...) (24 years ago, 25-Dec-00, to lugnet.fun)

  Re: Crossword 002

I agree. I would like to be producing these once per week. I took up quite a bit of time in building an American-style crossword as 003. Such a grid is much more difficult to fill. Then I wrote up all the clues for it (about 75). Just as I was (...) (24 years ago, 25-Dec-00, to lugnet.fun)
