I've wanted a red 2 x 4 for years! Now, the question is, why does everyone want a red 2 x 4? What is it about the red 2 x 4 that says "LEGO?" (...) My assumption is that it's instantly recognizable. But then again, so is yellow or blue (the other primaries). I looked over all three pretty hard. Blue is just too dark to make out the lines cleanly from afar. Yellow doesn't show up all that (...) (21 years ago, 15-Sep-03, to lugnet.fun)
