  Re: Holiday Greeting card

(...) Thanks Adrian! That's not my "serious" face, that's "my sig fig head has stubble and an eyepatch, and that will probably confuse my mom on the card, so let me upgrade to Luke Skywalker" face. I mean hey, I look movie-star good in the flesh, (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-03, to lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX)

  Re: Holiday Greeting card

(...) Thanks Brendan! Let me say that the Brick Testament was the main inspiration behind doing the holiday scene. The star came about because my NLSO, who comissioned the work, looked at the original tree topper and said "don't you have something (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-03, to lugnet.fun.holiday)

  Re: Holiday Greeting card

(...) Dude, you look so serious. Smile, it's Christmas! Anyway, this is a very nifty idea. If I bothered to send christmas cards out, this would be a great idea! Well done Adrian (URL) (21 years ago, 8-Dec-03, to lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX)

  Re: Holiday Greeting card

Nice scene, Nick. I love your choice for the star atop the tree. You can just barely see it, but the rubber-bands-as-ribbon on the red present works great. The string of lights also a nice touch. As someone who just spent the day on his own very (...) (21 years ago, 8-Dec-03, to lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX)

  Holiday Greeting card

Here's a holiday card started last month, to be sent out this week: (URL) It was worked on in bits in pieces over a few nights, while taking breaks from other projects (both Lego & non-Lego), and finished at the behest of my art director/SO to take (...)   Re: Call for BrickFest 2004 Event-Graphic

(...) Update on BrickFest PDX event logo search. This is a general reminder about the deadline of December 15th. We have received one entry to date and I know that there are some very creative graphic designers and artist within our community. If (...)   Re: Menorah set at Solomon pond mall

Arrgh, sent a message to Troy when I was trying to post. . . (...) They have made other holiday stuff. It's just limited-distribution. Lego currently has a menorah, a dreidel, a Santa and reindeer sculpture, and a Santa portrait up for auction on (...)   Re: Menorah set at Solomon pond mall

I'm glad that someone took it upon themselves to do this. I was just wondering to myself earlier today (my brother had gotten all the seasonal sets to give to my mom) why LEGO didn't make items for some of the other "seasonal" happenings. And it (...)   Re: Menorah set at Solomon pond mall

(...) From what I understand, this is a creation a store employee made and started selling as a PaB cup. The memo was circulated to our store (Woodfield), and we'll wait to see if any employees take it upon themselves to assemble the parts for one (...)
