"Buying Lego" FAQ to link auctions to

I have been thinking for a while of writing a FAQ on "how to buy Lego" which I could link to from my eBay and other auctions. This would include things like S@H, Ets Dya and Busy Bee, reading RTL and Lugnet, how to tell a good deal when you see one (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.theory, lugnet.faq)

  Re: linking

(...) It depends on what you're linking to. If you're linking to a site or sub-site's top-level homepage, for example (4 URLs) no, you usually don't ever need permission to do that. However, if you're linking to something like this from inside a (...) (25 years ago, 9-Oct-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.faq)

Re: SPUDs and POOPs? (Was: Does anyone accually like 4561?)

(...) An acronym list would be keen... The RTLSpeak list is referenced in the LUGNET FAQ material (1), but I don't see any reason why LUGNET can't have its own copy. Unless the acronym list is copyrighted? BURP = Big Ugly Rock Piece SNOT = Studs Not (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

Re: FAQqage: How to get zero perspective from L3P?

(...) It's even easier than that. Just run C:\LDRAW\MODELS>l3p -o -cg30,45 -ca5 somedat.dat and L3P will automatically compute the radius for an angle of 5. I almost always change the camera angle to something between 30 and 50. (-ca30, -ca50) For (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.faq)

Re: FAQqage: How to get zero perspective from L3P?

(...) actually, L3P already puts the orthographic setting inside the camera definition, it just has it REM'd out (//)... go to the end of the .POV file and you should see the camera definition (not quite at the end, but just before the light (...) Sproaticus: (...) There is a camera type for this. It should be enough to add "orthographic" at the beginning of the camera definition[1].
