  Re: About the term "AFOL"

(...) Was Jeff "Nephilim?" There were giants in the earth in those days. Wow. June 1995. I'm a newbie--I only started posting to RTL in January of 1998. Dave! (19 years ago, 25-May-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

  Re: About the term "AFOL"

(...) Heh, not according to Todd :) (URL) got it right-- Jeff Thompson appears to be the first one who used the term "Adult Fan Of Lego" on RTL (June 13, 1995), and Matthew Verdier first brought light to the acronym in reference to Jeff's post (June (...)   Re: About the term "AFOL"

(...) I did some looking around via Google's newsgroup database and found reference to the term in RTL back in June of 1995. (URL) about the long link) I also tried searching under "adult fan of lego" and got much the same as above but I like what I (...) (19 years ago, 25-May-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

  About the term "AFOL"

Hi, Yes, of course I know _what_ an AFOL is. But: Who created this term? When? And where? The r.t.l. FAQ does not mention the term (and I never read it "back then", IIRC), so it could be newer. Other FAQs only give "AFOL=Adult Fan Of LEGO". Any (...) (19 years ago, 25-May-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

New FAQ Curator: I need your help

Hello All, Cary Clark has stepped down as curator of .faq, and I've stepped up to take his place. I'd like to really try to re-vamp the .faq sidebar, especially because I know some new information, guides, FAQs, etc have been introduced. So, I'd ask (...)   Re: brickshelf recent gallery

(...) Hmmmmm not normal, but I have heard of it happening occasionally. You could try just editing the folder description, forcing re-moderation. It might show up the 2nd time around. ROSCO (20 years ago, 11-Aug-04, to lugnet.faq)

  Re: brickshelf recent gallery

(...) I uploaded the pictures yesterday and the folder has been made public, but I have not seen it in the recent gallery. Is this normal? - Stephen Pakbaz (20 years ago, 11-Aug-04, to lugnet.faq)

  Re: brickshelf recent gallery

(...) Hi Stephen, Yes, it takes a certain amount of time. Brickshelf is moderated, and your pictures don't appear in the recent gallery until they're given the OK by the moderator(s). Your folder will also not be viewable by the general public until (...) (20 years ago, 11-Aug-04, to lugnet.faq)
