Re: Am I the only one ?....NOT AT ALL!

This is cool! there actually is an amount of miners/young adults at lugnet! Mabey we should ask Todd to create a new NG or mabey I'm just dreaming. Anyways, it just gives me the warm fuzzies to know I'm not alone.:) (...) I would have never guessed. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Am I the only one ?.........

I may as well join in on the fun...I'm 18, so I still qualify as a teenager, yes? There's a lot of us younger folk on LUGNET, although among you all, it seems that me, Tim(18), and Leah(19) are the old-timers. Any other geezers of the teen crowd out (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Am I the only one ?.........

(...) What what what??? I, Nick Crocco, am of the ripe old age of 17. :-) Yeah, it doesn't seem as though there are very many of us minors out there... We should start a "JRFOLS" section of Lugnet. That'd be cool :-) I too have been on Lugnet for (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Am I the only one ?.........

You're not the only one... I'm 14. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Am I the only one ?.........

(...) Well Jonathan, I've got news, I'm a minor too! I'm 13 and love Lugnet. Don't feel left out of events here, you are just as free as anyone that uses this website. If you need someone to discuss stuff about, talk to me or Shiri. I've been a Lego (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Am I the only one ?.........

I have been lurking on this site for about a year now and I'm only 16. I would guess (this is a ballpark estimate) that about a fifth of the people on LUGNET are 18 or younger at least. And on a side note, I didn't know you were only 15 Greg, now I (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Am I the only one ?.........

(...) What? What? Another one of my species? Huzzah! I'm 15 by the way, and I call myself an AFOL without a second thought. JRFOLs are not the type found here. Greg "You mean to tell me the mark on the inside of the pretzel oven is Shamu?" Majewski (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Am I the only one ?.........

(...) Hi, Don't worry, I'm thirteen years old. As far as I know, there are hardly any teenagers on Lugnet. We are a rare species ;-) Erin -- (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.faq)

Am I the only one ?.........

Hello, I'm 12, and it seems as if I'm the only minor in all of lugnet. I know there's Shiri but is there anybody else who's a teenager or kid. Futhermore do we "JRFOLS" actually make up a percentage of lugnet's participants/members? or am I the only (...) (24 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: This will get someone upset...

(...) Might not be important, but it might be interesting. After all, part of having a community is meeting people, right? (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.admin.terms, lugnet.faq)

Re: This will get someone upset...

(...) That's ridiculous. It's not like that at all. It's like meeting someone you don't know at a lego convention, and they give you their card. I've done that. It's got my name and e-mail address on it, it's small, it's convenient, it's an accepted (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.admin.terms, lugnet.faq)

Re: This will get someone upset...

(...) Marc, I don't understand. Should people be ashamed of where they work or what they do? (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.admin.terms, lugnet.faq)

Re: This will get someone upset...

(...) Yeah, seems like a fairly simple case of a personal dislike, motivated by I don't know what, but not really important to me. I use the web interface now as well, but if I ever switch back to a news reader I'll have my sig pre-defined for every (...)   Re: This will get someone upset...

(...) As an example, section five of the Discussion Group Terms and Conditions states that you won't post defamatory or profane (among other things) messages. If you look at the snippets from your note above, you may find three breaches of this (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.admin.terms, lugnet.faq)

Re: This will get someone upset...

(...) 1. As long as a signature is short (four lines or under is best), it doesn't really matter what the content is, as long as it's not offensive in a way that violates the charter of the newsgroup you are posting to. 2. It may not be important (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.admin.terms, lugnet.faq)

Re: This will get someone upset...

(...) <snip> (...) I didn't miss it at all. That's what my reply to you was about. I then went on to state another, related point: I believe that short .sigs (regardless of content) are much less annoying than long ones. (...) Even if it's not (...)
