  Re: What an ambulance!

(...) Yeah. I tell ya what, if those hairpieces fit a Lego minifig, I would buy that set. That has the awesome old-style hairpiece that was in old Town and Castle sets. -dead (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

  Re: What an ambulance!

(...) Thzey even have a copy of DUPLO. Check this link: (URL) I suppose those sets are much cheaper as real LEGO and thus are bought by the people. Poland is a rather poor country, compared to western Europe and the USA..... And since building with (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

  Re: What an ambulance!

(...) Yeah, what about them? They look very much inspired by TLC's flowers, but there are clear differences. /Tore (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

  Re: What an ambulance!

Here's a similar example of blatant copying by a company in china that I found. Every piece is a copy of a LEGO piece, they even copied the instructions and the box. The only thing is that they don't fit each other very well. (URL) J. Trobaugh North (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

  Re: What an ambulance!

I noticed too. BUT...like I said in my other posting: What about those clear minifig style heads that are used as the overhead flashing lights on the larger ambulance set. Seriously...I think they have their own molds that were designed using (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

  Re: What an ambulance!

My god. Someone has, no, NEEDS to be sued for this! I think they just take Lego pieces, scratch off the Lego logo, repaint them, and stick them in their 'own' sets!! OOOOOHHH MAN!!! BLATENT COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT! Although, do my eyes deceive me? Clear light blue Minifig heads on the larger ambulance??? Go to this link to see what I mean: (URL) must admit that I salivated when I saw that particular one. Is this (...)   Re: What an ambulance!

(...) Most of it seems to be a clear copy of LEGO. The headlights, and most of the basic pieces, have a very big similarity to LEGO. It does seem that they're violating a few trademark laws. (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

I'm plugging along with this project; I'm a little surprised that I've generated no feedback.   hackin the faq

I've spent a few moments paying around with the LUGNET FAQ in FTX. Starting with (URL) (the batch that Jeremy Sproat created some time ago) I've put a whopping total of three of them here: (URL) tried to preserve the original FAQ entries content, (...) (...) I don't even get that, I don't think. (I work in GBP). Most of the time I can't buy new lego, so I just have to make do with what I've got, which in a way enhaces creativity. On the other hand, it means I can't get as much Lego, with is a (...) (24 years ago, 8-Oct-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Am I the only one ?.........

(...) Thankyou so much for posting. I'm fourteen, but I never said it in case no-one else was. I guess what defines us from other people our age who play with Lego is we look at it from an adult point of view, if you see what I mean. For example, (...) (24 years ago, 8-Oct-00, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Am I the only one ?.........

(...) How?... well, if you're a teenager, it's pretty simple; you just *don't* have the money. Heh. Maybe I could scrounge up $20 for a set, but what little money I have has to cover all my expenses, excluding food and some clothes. So what can I (...) $10-$20 a week, man when I was a kid I was lucky to get $20 a year to buy Lego. Now that I am all growed up an married I get a little more, but I must emphasize little. Budgeting is the key, but man how can you pass up an $80 set for $20 on (...) (24 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.faq)
