I can see Clara as a rook now that you have suggested her.  I don't think I
would have come up with the idea myself.  To distinguish sides, for me is still
problematic.  There are 2 different color rakes in the original Fabuland, brown
and black, but that is not enough of a visible difference for me.  I think
Belville has a red Fabuland rake.

There are a lot of Fabuland Figures... enough to have one side where each figure
has a major body part red and may be the other side has a major body part blue?
I am not into body switching as i experimented with in the past...reverting to a
more conservative stance in my old age...

Maybe the easiet way to distinguish sides is with a sticker both on the front
and the back of the shirt.  What comes to mind for me are the various colors of
foil stars that can be easily found.  Ode to Dr. Seuss,  maybe only one side
should have stars and the other side should not, like one of his stories.

(...) I'd distinguish sides by dividing the animals into types. In this case, Jungle animals vs. Farm animals. The chess board could look like this: Kings: Lion vs. Horse - The Lion naturally and the Horse because he's the noblest animal on the (...) (19 years ago, 31-Jul-05, to lugnet.fabuland)
