Two 4-hour windows of public display is pretty minor, all things considered.
A much bigger "turn-off" for me is the (seemingly) rigid shutdown time - but
I freely admit that's a personal bias stemming from experience with gaming
and SF cons. So no, not "just because", but it's a factor. Much bigger
factors(1), are major projects at work, two small children, a wife that
works weekends, a major NALUG dispay the weekend previous, and other
assorted stuff that has nothing to do with the appeal of the event itself.
I should add (since my note in review looks much more negative that I'd
intended it) - I cannot currently afford the time to hare off to Seattle for
a weekend, regardless of how much I'd enjoy the trip. That I am considering
it at all is a measure of how much fun I think I would have. :)
thanks,
James
1:by, well, factors. Sorry, couldn't help myself. :)
