(...) Speaking as a former employee who knows people that work(ed) in the Model Shop in Enfield, the 'mutilations' are probably to repair a damaged model, or to undo some incorrect building. Since the models are glued together, the pieces don't come (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.events.brickswest)

On the tour of the model shop, we were shown models under repair that had mutilated bricks (some not even really necessary, like cutting a brick or plate (...) (...) What I require is a solid backing. If the canvas is taut, it might work, but I don't know for sure. Plywood might be cheaper, too. It looks like my only other option will be to lay it on a table or three. It won't be as impressive that way, (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-03, to lugnet.events.brickswest)

Adrian, What you are asking for might be overkill. I would think some EMT conduit, a piece of tarp/canvas, and some rope to stretch the canvas tight should be more than enough. Portable, too. Basically, you would hang the mosaic from rope/cable (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.events.brickswest)
