IOW, they can only handle a finite number of SKUs at one time. This sounds like
a warehousing, inventory, fufilment, catalog space issue. Probably also has
something to do with how much stock value they are willing to endure at any one
time.

OTOH, this is a 'production' issue. i.e., the molds have to exist and preferably
are already installed in a manufacturing machine. I suspect the mold swap time
(for a non currently produced part) requires a minimum production run on that
machine. Days ? Weeks ? Were all the parts for Guarded Inn recently produced ?
I'm sure some of them had to be special runs.
