I’m still overwhelmed at how awesome this fest was, I’m late for the road this morning, we have miles to go before we get to our next amusement park but it’s way past due that something was said!

I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for an absolutely amazing fest. This clearly was going to be a hard one to top and it was thanks to all your efforts that we pulled it off.

I fear that if I started mentioning all the things that everyone did that I would forget some, there were so many helpful and awesome things done... But I have to try
  • Len and Dan, awesome work on the space room and the moonbase! We once again overflowed the space allotted but you guys made it work. I was worried that the moonbase would not work well in the crowds without stanchions but your efforts to make sure there were enough people did the trick. Great presentation on bots, too, Len... Finally, thanks for the award slides, very silly! Well done.

  • Magnus and Ed, stunningly great work on the castle rooms. They really came to life for me. Thanks for including everyone that wanted to exhibit, and also a great shoutout for the Evil Engines contest, and for your other sessions. I really loved watching what I had time to watch, and I know Nik felt it was a highlight of his fest being asked to help judge that.

  • Pierre and Steve B, GREAT train layout, as always... It was challenging this year because there were less clubs in than before but you guys pulled it off, it drew crowds as always. The overflow room was also well organized and represented with some great MOCs. Lots of great sessions too! Well done.

  • John B (and Steve H)... Awesome work on the contests, and on the mindstorms/technic rooms. The technic room in particular was a great hit, although Kevin may not get his voice back for a few days. And what can I say about GBC! Wow. That was amazing. And a huge thank you for working through how best to get the award slides done and for helping other themes with theirs. Your efforts to make that happen were just so helpful.

  • Felix... Nice sculpture room. Even without a raft of entries you organized it so it looked great! And, as always, your stage presence truly amazes me, thanks for coming up with the improv skit idea and for working to make it great!

  • Jeff, Mecha continues to delight. Your multimedia presentation really added a lot to the room, thanks so much for your efforts!

  • Mark, BIONICLE was amazing. That room was the most complete documentation of the line I’ve ever seen... Way to go! Everyone I talked to was impressed.

  • Kevin, great work on the Brick Bazaar. I got a LOT of positive comments about it this year. And as always, stunningly great auction. LOTS of funds raised for good causes.

  • A big shout out to Steve DeCraemer for the Darkroom coordination. We just had a few creations, but they were very cool, and I think everyone saw the potential and I am sure we’ll have a huge turnout next year. Try to build something bigger though, will ya? POV3 was kinda small.

  • Denise, thanks for getting the classic/historic room up and running, as always it is great to remember our roots..

  • Steve B, (again!), and Kelly, thanks for stepping up and helping get Build the Trust organized and set up. It came off great! We wowed those guys!

  • Todd Thuma, we missed you there but your efforts offsite will not be missed! Thanks again for your work to coordinate the DVD and your advice during the planning.

  • Suz, the vended minifigs were a hit, thanks for that!

  • Tommy A, as always, Rob Hendrix has nothing on your modding skills, the badges, awards, and other engraved stuff were very cool, as always. thanks!

  • A very large helping of thanks to the registration/admissions staff! Smoothest registration ever and very efficient on public day... Thanks, Ken, Stephanie, Jude, and many others!

  • Kelly, what an awesome website! Chock full of info, attractive and engaging, feature rich... It rocked! Thanks man!

  • Joe, great work on the programs and printed materials, as always. But how about letting someone else win the commemorative model selection next year? Seriously great model again. Too hard not to win? How about not winning the logo competition too? What a cute logo we had this year, it rocked...

  • Thanks to LEGO for turning out with a bang (sending your CEO, a genuinely nice guy and engaging speaker), and letting KKK come, and supporting the fest... Way to go, what a company!

  • Robin, some truly awesome sessions, as always. Great job coordinating that, and in creating the handy time chart, and in not losing your sanity during the inevitable AV glitches... Every session ended up being presented somehow or another so it all worked out, and they were great.

  • Steve B (again!!!!) thanks for your efforts assisting with overall coordination, for all the last minute emergency fixes to things, and especially for setting up the series of meetings with the LEGO execs for the various themes and interest groups. You pitched in whereever it was needed and it showed.

  • Janey... What can I say about your efforts that hasn’t been said? The micro/vig stuff continues to amaze and delight, and that alone would be enough for a large helping of kudos. But you didn’t stop there, you also coordinated contests, helped make sure the free build room got organized and that contest came off, helped me out with the awards pull together and just a raft of other stuff. Plus of course the after hours stuff! Stunningly great!

  • Christina, you continue to amaze and delight everyone that works with you or meets you. This fest is a tribute to your skill at getting things to happen, and not letting on what’s going on behind the scenes! We couldn’t have done it without you! The community owes you SO MUCH. We love you!

Finally, I saved the best for last. Thanks to each and every one of you that attended, that brought MOCS, that pitched in to help get things done, that interacted with the public and that generally made this the BEST FEST EVER!
