  Re: Build the Trust

(...) My road trip went VERY well, I got a lot of good pictures and I have a very clear idea of what to use (a few of, 3 to 5 as I said) the bricks for. They *will* be related to the model. Now, the question becomes, can I carve out enough time to (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

BrickFest - Pick A Brick offer

Hi All, BrickFest has arranged a discounted Pick-a-Brick (PAB) Case Pack (aka bulk) program with LEGO retail thru the Potomac Mills Outlet. This is a special deal for BrickFest attendees only. The elements will be sold by the case. Each case (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.announce, lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

In fact I have no idea what to use the gold bricks for. They are just motivation to actually deliver. I mean, I committed. I will probably build a chryselephantine Zeus out of them or something else. -Erik (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I think actually I told you at NTS and you forgot I told you, but ya, Gaylord building is it. Now, for bonus points, what's the gold brick tie in? ... And YES I think this is a reusable building when I lose, er I mean, if I lose. (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I am building a minifig-scale model/interpretation of the Farnsworth House in Plano, IL. It will end up slightly off scale due to choice of pieces, but I think it's looking good so far. -nk (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) Sorry to reply to myself. Just to come all out, I plan to have 3 buildings done, all of which I can potentially use in future trainshow with our club. Each time we do a show I hear we need more 1-2 baseplate buildings. This contest was just (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) Trainhead! This industrial building would fit nicely in the neighborhood of a trainyard. The other illinois choices are not your "thing". a "not denying it" from you is as good as a confirmation :) Paul (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Pick-a-Brick at BrickFest?

(...) No it had not, oh well. teh cat is out of the bag. :-) I was waiting to get the final OK and inventory numbers from LEGO. the available amounts may no longer be accurate. I'm sorry to say that you may request an element and they may not be (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) Shoot, that is my second project choise. I've already ordered all the brick. As with you, I may not have enough time to do it. Mine would be minifig scale, and yours? Paul (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Pick-a-Brick at Brickfest?

I was clicking around the Brickfest website, when I found this: (URL) this been announced yet? It says the deadline is the 26, that's in less then a week! It seems like a great offer, 15" x 6" x 9" cases for $90, and it would be a shame if people (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) Me either. I was thinking I'd use about 3-5 bricks total, if that, but DID have a scheme for why they would plausibly appear in the model, somewhere. (...) I'm not saying, but it's not P. Hope that helps. (it's really not too hard to guess but (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I am not building the Robie house either, but I am also building something in Illinois. I hope we're not building the same thing. I don't expect to use too many of the gold bricks, though. What's the first letter of the town/village you're (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Build the Trust

(...) I am not building the Robie House. I had thought about a FLW based entry since I'm a big fan (I think I put my Taliesin West pics up on Maj, I forget) but decided to build something else that I could more easily tie into the gold bricks... I'm (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Build the Trust

I am building the Robie House.. is anybody else? It would be weird to have multiple renditions of the same thing when there are so many other good ideas on or off the site list. I visited the Robie House twice last winter so I got kind of excited (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)
