Christina,

Sorry I haven't waited for your reply, but I just saw that another designer
had posted designs to Brickshelf, and I would rather not do that (for fear
that someone else would 'borrow' my ideas).

Please let me know if I can e-mail my images to your posted address, or if
there is another you would like me to use.

...I'm sure she wouldn't mind email attachments of pics (and if she does mind,
you can send em to me :-) Another option would be to post them to a dead website
and give us the URL.

...Since you mentioned brickshelf, I had thought of an idea where we post some
of the best ideas/sketches/initial entries to a brickshelf folder of the
brickfest website to both inspire other artists and to up the enthusiasm for the
whole event.

...But regardless of what happens to submissions, every effort will be made to
make sure that people get credit where they are due. So if someone does "borrow"
an idea, we can certainly include "inspired by art submitted by..." or something
to that extent (note that I cant officially speak for the brickfest committee,
just guessing what Christina would want to do :-)

Thanks!
Matt Gerber

WAMALUG would like to extend the invitation to all those AFOL's that are
graphically inclined to submit their ideas/artwork for use in BrickFest 2001.

We are looking for a Logo and Image that will appeal to the broadest spectrum
of LEGO fans that can be used on flyers, web pages, schedules, and most
importantly, the 2001 BrickFest T-shirt!

Please keep in mind that the designs can not say LEGO on it anywhere.

Requirements:
A draft image is fine for submission, but the final image should to be
designed in a program that allows for the colors to be easily separated. A
vector image program like Corel Draw is recommend. The final image should have
no more then 5 or 6 colors.

The design will be selected by the members of WAMALUG but we would like
for everyone/anyone with an graphic arts interest to Submit their ideas

Initial submissions are due by May 15

Final artwork deadline June 1.

post your submissions on lugnet.events.brickfest
