  Re: Driving to Brickfest?

(...) Interesting info! I am coming from Grand Rapids MI, via the Ohio Turnpike so where should I cut over to I 68 if I choose to do that? Thanks for sharing this tidbit (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: my real train

(...) I think thats where they have me and the Rail Racers track set up, so you might actually have to set up in the bathroom. jt (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003

(...) Roger that! In particular the peninsula connecting MichLTC to the rest of the oval doesn't have to be all yard, although it has 4 tracks on it there is still room for one baseplate wide buildings, and with the extra tables that LUCNY is (...)   Re: my real train

(...) I don't think there is a DDR or even an DDA. It may not work well in the main (2nd floor public area) layout... But it would be welcome in 250, the trains breakout room, there will be some tables along the edge if all goes according to plan. (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  my real train

Um, so... where might I display my, um, unusual DUPLO train setup? Is "D" banned from the "real" train area? It's not huge. Is there a designated DUPLO room/area? ..the hallway near the bathrooms? :-) Oh, and uh, can I enter the trains competition (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: OBEY GRAVITY! (It's the law) I got Dared again

(...) I can't take that! After I fill out the submission form for the Increadible Video that I just laboured to make, I'll whip up the Castle Master 3000 Impenetrable Fortress of Maha-Doom! Bring extra chicks with Palm fronds, I'll need em.... And (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Driving to Brickfest?

Hi all, For those driving from Indiana/Ohio/Western PA, I've found that skipping I-70 in PA (The Pennslvania Turnpike) makes for a better drive. I live in the DC region, and I take I-68 through Western Maryland instead when heading to the Midwest. (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Needed: Tripod

Hey folks, If anyone's bringing a photo tripod to BrickFest, could you let me know? I'd like to borrow it for the keynote address. Calum (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Needed: Someone with a video camera and/or PCI capture card at BrickFest 2003

(...) Thanks, that should do fine! Unless it eats a lot of CPU. But we should try it anyways, I'm sure it'll work just fine anyways. We're taking it down I79 and 70 into Washington unfortunately. If you can make it, bring it along, but if not, don't (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Needed: Someone with a video camera and/or PCI capture card at BrickFest 2003

(...) I've got a USB adapter (Dazzle Video Creator 80 (URL) and the rest of the stuff on your list. Let me know if that'll work for your needs. I'm debating on going for Friday. What route are you taking to DC? I'm off of I83 in York, PA. -Rob. (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: BrickFest, here we come!

(...) I'm on my way. Have a few stops at relatives' and future in-laws' places on the way, but we will be leaving home almost as soon as I finish writing this. Can't wait to meet you all! -Hendo (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003

(...) Likewise, LUCNY will be bringing 2 or 3 additional tables that are NOT shown on the latest layout map. These can be set up as needed--and I hope they are needed! I wanna see lots of LEGO creations! Just because you are not a member of a club (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003

(...) There will be room on the NGLTC tables, I'm only bringing about 4-5 buildings and 9 tables, so there is plenty of room for other peoples MOCs. jt (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003

Will there be room for individual buildings? I was planning on bringing a small train station (16x40 stud footprint), however, if there won't really be room for it, I'll bring another pirate ship or two :-) Frank (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Quoting Calum Tsang <tsangc@mie.utoronto.ca>: (...) I beleive NELUG has 8 or 9 attending, a couple more if you count people on our list that don't show up regularly. Most of us will be arriving Thursday evening. I'm guessing that WAMALUG/LTC will (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFestT 2003

Actually, NELUG will be bringing our own tables. The base table should be between 29" and 30" and the next tier up will be 39" to 40." I suppose if we can use the GMU table for the base table, we can try that, but we're still bringing our own (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
