Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) You know, I get tired of hearing how we live in a capitalistic world. We don't. Not hardly. (if you disagree, take it to off-topic.debate). But even so, this particular seller isn't (apparently) demonstrating much capitalism. LEGO placed a (...) (20 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

There is a scale of reusability, and some parts have a very low reusability score. Orion's point is that there are (...) (20 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) How about the value of making the market more efficient? Suppose that person A is willing to pay $20 for a set and person B is willing to pay $40 for a set[1]. Perhaps A is lucky[2] and finds the set for $20, but that outcome does not maximize (...) (20 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

AFAIK, this seller, NinjaPrincess, is a woman who deals with bulk bought Lego which she sorts and resells. I vaguely recall her having bought some 20,000 copies of Final Duel IIs for $1 each for resale from some clearance/wholesale group. (...) (20 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Lame Parts contest (was Re: The Bar Does Not Go Down)

(...) I just went to Yahoo to see what was going on with that link and perhaps getting it reinstated. However, it seems that Yahoo no longer has free webpages for members. I did toss out the idea late last year for another run at the comp, but there (...) (20 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)
