 Dear LEGO / 3812 (-10)
Re: Help Get Brickshelf Instructions on www.lego.com

(...) Yep. If the instructions were on TLCs site, there would be much more exposure and probably more utilization. 100GB/day ? Who knows. (...) Hear, hear. That motion is seconded. That or for TLC to buy enough of the banner ad space to make it (...) (23 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Help Get Brickshelf Instructions on www.lego.com

(...) While I applaud your sentiment I suspect that I'd rather the instructions stay on BrickShelf(tm) and that Lego(r) fund the bandwidth expense of making them available. If they were on the TLC site, there would be issues with quality. Many (...) (23 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Display Minifig 'Adoption' program

(...) Yes they are :) You can see them here: (URL) (the Giant Minifigs that you can see in shelves and flying around). I know they have the sculptures... but I want one of the others that you can see above :) Thanks for trying to help though! :) (...)   Re: Display Minifig 'Adoption' program

(...) Are these different from the ones you can buy from LEGO's internet store Shop at Home, for $149.00 excl. shipping? See Exclusives & Treasures -> Sculptures With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen. (23 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Display Minifig 'Adoption' program

I was just discussing this with a friend the other day... I personally love the Giant Minifigs that you see in some of the stores windows and shelves... (Japan and American stores I have seen via net). And also when you had them for auction on eBay. (...) (23 years ago, 3-Mar-02, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego.direct)

Lego this is important so I beg of you read it and respond

  Re: Brickshelf instruction scans

(...) I dunno about how IP rights to the concept of hosting LEGO instruction scans online would work. If someone else wanted to host scans online, I don't think there would be anything Kevin could say about it. (...) This is a major point I think (...) (23 years ago, 27-Feb-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Brickshelf instruction scans

However this brings up an interesting dilemma....Brickshelf (now Brickshelf LLC) was founded to originally display the scans of instructions and catalogues....the hosting of MOC's and other stuff was secondary. The compilation of the scans was the (...) (23 years ago, 27-Feb-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Brickshelf instruction scans

(...) Or perhaps LEGO could host the scans on one of their servers, so that BrickShelf LLC wouldn't use as much bandwidth as before!? Just a thought... JohnG, GMLTC (23 years ago, 26-Feb-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Brickshelf instruction scans

Dear Lego-- Please authorize Brickshelf LLC to continue to display the old instruction scans that had been available on that site. The scans are a vital resource for the Lego community and are badly missed. Having scans of old sets available only (...) (23 years ago, 26-Feb-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)
