(...) <snip> (...) Hmmm.... Susan's daughter, perhaps;-) All seriousness aside, thanks for sharing, Christian-- I think that is a great example of how things are going to be different from now on IMO. I really believe that TLC has turned the (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) I think that is great that a manager called you on this. I have some thoughts and questions on this. Did she say specifically that she called you because of your postings on the Web? It is possible that the managers/trainers are actively (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Important additions to my last posting!

Hi all again!!!! I know I am replying to my own e-mail, but something GREAT happened that pushed my dissapointment at least a far step away, although I am still sceptic. Wow, please let me share the latest news, since it's been an interesting story! (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) <snip> (...) <snip> (...) I have to admit that I wasn't exactly thrilled when I saw what is available through S@H over here in the Netherlands (from what I saw it's about the same as in Germany). The list is twice as short as the US version. (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Hi all, the guy that actually contacted LEGO this morning was me, but Paul: Thanks a lot for mentioning it here already. If anyone wants to know what excactly happened, read on. And Brad, I hope you read this as well! Since I am very excited about (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: S@H Germany, joke of the new century

You should probably post this to the newgroup lugnet.lego.direct so that TLC will actually read it -- presuming that is your intention. Here it's more like preaching to the choir... -- Richard (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

S@H Germany, joke of the new century

Hi One of the german Lego Forum members just tried to order something from the new S@H Germany, what a joke, sorry we don't have that, sorry we don't have this, sorry that is US only, its not suppose to be in the German catalog, then the girl told (...)   Re: New LEGO.com - cut those flash junk!

(...) it (...) It only affects the first page. All the links are the same and will lead you to the flash only version of a theme. (24 years ago, 16-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: New LEGO.com - cut those flash junk!

(...) True, but you can still switch back and forth - the bottom menu, at the far left lets you switch (just to the right of the LEGO Club login). The background colour is also different each time you visit. This is one thing that I don't (...) (24 years ago, 16-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: New LEGO.com - cut those flash junk!

(...) There's a low-bandwidth non-flash version of the site. When you go there for the first time you get the choice of the Flash or non-flash sites, but once you've chosen you never seem to see the choice again. Interesting that every time I go (...)   New LEGO.com - cut those flash junk!

In the old site I can at least look at the catalogue without running into frash. No in the new one anymore. You can't look at the train sets without it asking you to install some lame program aka flash. Am I suppose to use Lugnet to just look at the (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Doors...

(...) I secind this request! The only kind of doors you can make double doors with (both open to opposite ides leaving an 8-wide opening) is the glass doors which have lefties and righties. I'm getting bored with all the red-rimmed glass doors! (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Two original Technic creations

Hear, Hear!!! Brad will you please check these out? Is it feasible for TLC to consider licensing/purchasing plans from AFOLs?? I think that any of us would be honored to give permission, as long as the plans weren't altered.... Please check out (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Doors...

Dear LEGO, I'm sure this has occaisioned comment before, but I must have missed it. Why do town doors only hinge on 1 side? They only open left to right - which accurately represents about half the doors in the world. What about the other half? (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

New Lego.com Site (browser width issue)

I can't stop drooling over the new site - I really enjoy it and its use of flash (and they did an excellent job of the HTML version too). One thing I do take issue with though is the browser width - it forces you to have a certain width browser. I (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  "Winnie the Poo"

Dear LEGO: I see you've got the text: Winnie The Poo at the very bottom of the second column on the page: (URL) oughtta change that to say: Winnie the Pooh® before Disney catches wind of it. --Todd Lehman (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Please hire this gentleman

(...) That was my intent. Henry can obviously do what he wants, but I know I for one (1) would enjoy seeing a herd of Henry's dinos at Legoland. I did not mean to downplay the talent and ability of anyone else in here, either. I am generally in awe (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: What if 9V went away? (Was re: LTMA vs NMRA

(...) on (...) I'd think that if Lego did dump what we know as 9v, it would be for a dumbed down system - as this is the way LEGO is going generally. About the the only way the 4561/4560 could be dumbed town would be to remove the powered track and (...) (24 years ago, 12-Sep-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: What if 9V went away? (Was re: LTMA vs NMRA

Err...um...in some ways it is a tough question in other ways it is an easy question, and of course the answer is that it depends. What if 9v trains went away... If LEGO is discontinuing trains, shame on them, but I'll continue to build. After all, (...) (24 years ago, 12-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)
