Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) Hmm. From my experience, they don't HAVE to adapt the kids to lego. I baby-sit two 5 y/o twins every Friday afternoon, so I get to see what other kids think about lego. These kids have both "dad's old lego" (1) and new sets (among others: Sith (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) Yes, *some* kids are that way. When writing the post, I was thinking of my friends, but perhaps they aren't so good to compare with, they are all over 14, and that's not really a "lego" age. I agree that lego is not giving them the tools they (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) I keep seeing people say this, and you know, I don't agree. I am quite sure *some* kids are this way but the ones who come to my Technic class (about 30 or so kids, on and off, age range 6-12, out of a school of 120 or so kids) are definitely (...)   Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) You're right! I think that the reason that all the sets are so juniorized, is because kids don't have the patience to sit down and build something. Or, they are not creative enough to fit 5 bricks together into one larger. TLC says that lego (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

LEGO name branding (was: Re: Stuff I'd like to see...)

(...) Maybe Belville never was intended to compete with Barbie. Maybe the video games never were intended to compete with Doom or Myst. Maybe the LEGO Watches line never was intended to compete with Swatch or Times. etc., etc. (...) If you think of (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) I can't agree more. TLC's apparant ambitions are, to put it mildly, ludicrous. According to their press release: "...our goal is for the LEGO brand to be known as the strongest brand in the world among families with children by 2005." From (...)   Re: Speeding up the Shop-at-Home ordering process

(...) I agree fully. Last night my wife and I dropped a few hundred at S@H. It took me 4 minutes to give all the info. I was asked for the Blue box, the yellow box & all that too. But it took ages... Back when S@H was in Canada (I'm in Canada) they (...) (25 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Wow, Stephane, can I send you some 4x3 bricks to customize? I could have used 12 of those in red in my new Cathedral. You could start a LEGO Customizing Service! Gary Istok (...) (25 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
