Re: Palm Tree Junior —Richard Franks
(...) I remember playing with my first tree and thinking how fabulous it was, that wasn't LEGO a great toy because it was inventive and managed to create a tree from the most unlikely looking bits. Then I had fun bending them and shaping them to my (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) Strictly speaking, the 1x2 brick with side clip isn't a POOP--you can't build it out of other pieces. But it is a juniorized, un-lego-ish nightmare. Should have been a 1x2 plate with a side clip. Steve (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Palm Tree Junior —Richard Franks
(...) Agreed - a 1x2 plate with side clip would have been an interesting new piece, perhaps not that useful.. but the extra two 1x2 plates would have been nice! It is poopy in principle (in my mind anyway), as I haven't seen a use for it that (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Palm Tree Junior —James Brown
(...) I find this piece good, actually. It allows me to center things in walls that are even in length (2 studs, 4 studs, etc), which can't be done with a 1x1 plate w/clip. Having the various clips on bricks also means that the back side of the wall (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
