  Re: Introducing LEGO Direct

(...) We (rest of the world) are probably pretty ignorant of what went on in World War II as it relates to Denmark. I wonder what TLC chairman KKK's father (GKC) and grandfather Ole witnessed in the war. Perhaps what they saw when Nazi Germany (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Mindstorms Wishlist

1. RCX Pro Like the current yellow RCX brick, but with more inputs and outputs. Basically the same size, but could be a tiny bit bigger to fit more connectors. Is _square_ on the bottom, and of course has an AC adaptor. Perhaps has both radio and IR (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Introducing LEGO Direct

(...) **snip** (...) Maybe there's no ammunition in the Lego universe, though we still have to deal with the blades and light sabers. And I guess you could make a tank with no ammo... Do you suppose the new, smaller treads on the Arctic sets might (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Introducing LEGO Direct

(...) TLC lost its moral high ground on not modelling war toys a LONG time ago. Otherwise we wouldn't have six shooters and rifles (that are essentially the same today as they were a hundred years ago) in the Wild West theme. Spear = sword = musket (...)   Re: Enough already

Um.... "Busing children...?" "Yes, '"busing" children.' Not 'busting,' 'busing.'" "Oh..... "Never mind!" ---...--- Well, then, sorry about all that. I have GOT to find a better way to decipher all these (convoluted) threads. Todd seemed (to me) to (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Enough already

Wow! Tom, they must really like you there. I have called a day after I made an order and they said, "Oh we'll just put that in your current order!" That was cool with me at the time, but when it comes to costing them money, I thought it would be (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Enough already

With the speed of their ordering system some days, calling 30 min later would make it a different box. I've called to add something on, and missed the original order - one time, I called only FIVE minutes later, and the first order was working it's (...) (...) I recently placed an order for 10 of one set, and they felt they had to call me the next day to confirm that I really wanted 10 and not 1 (thinking it was a clerical error). -John (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Suggestions for Lego: My two cents

(...) YES. Lego, you do this and I will personally guarantee the line's success. I will reach out through my contacts among the Latin teachers at the middle school, high school, and college level to make this line pay for itself many times over. (...)
