 Dear LEGO / *5343 (-10)
Re: Major update to my vehicle folder.

(...) Dear LEGO, You would save me a great deal of trouble if you made some or all of Pierre's MOCs into sets. This would save me having to buy all those pieces on Bricklink. Your choice, I either pay some vendor(s) on Bricklink for the parts or I (...) (19 years ago, 19-Sep-05, to lugnet.town, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Major update to my vehicle folder.

(...) No kidding! Dear LEGO, in the My Own Creation line you have now done Castle (Blacksmith Shop), Trains (Santa Fe Cars), and microscale (new factory line sets). It's time for Town, and you should start with something from Pierre's folder. Bruce (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.town, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Major update to my vehicle folder.

(...) Dear Lego, Pierre's MOCs are an outstanding example of what the future of the Lego city lineup could be. This folder represents the diversity of themes, the realism and the quality that Lego town fans (both old AND young) would love to see on (...)   Re: Hurricane Katrina Relief Suggestion

They are setting up a shelter a few miles from me in Molino, FL, for either 300 families (or 300 people, not sure which) from New Orleans. I dropped off 13 of the bonus Duplo buckets and 7 4107s today (all crammed in 4696 buckets, which I have a (...) (19 years ago, 4-Sep-05, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Hurricane Katrina Relief Suggestion

(...) I like the idea of doing something. Perhaps something from the Lego clothing range would be best in the short term, along with a ruck sack to keep a few items in while they're living out of a bag in a rescue centre. A set with just a few large (...) (19 years ago, 3-Sep-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: Hurricane Katrina Relief Suggestion

(...) It's my understanding that food, sanitation, clothing, and medical supplies are being worked on now, by federal agencies in charge of such things (specifically FEMA). What I'm not sure will be provided in the short or medium term are "extras" (...) (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: Hurricane Katrina Relief Suggestion

(...) LEGO is cool, but I'm not so sure that is needed just yet? I mean is there any clean surfaces to play on? Wouldn't food, medical and personal essentials be one of the most important items needed? ? Mel (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: Hurricane Katrina Relief Suggestion

(...) That's a nice idea, but I can't help thinking about the impact of thousands of bricks on bare feet, and the sound of thousands of bricks on a concrete floor - you might end up with some cranky adults. If TLG wants to do something besides (...) (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: Hurricane Katrina Relief Suggestion

(...) I'm sure we members of TEXLUG and TEXLUG-Houston would be happy to help in any way if this idea were adopted. I know I stand ready. --Anthony Sava (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Hurricane Katrina Relief Suggestion

Dear LEGO, Like many others, I can't seem to tear away from CNN lately, watching the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. One of the images I just saw was of hundreds of people standing in line, many of them children, with the narrator describing how (...) (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.dear-lego)
