I visited a friend in another state this past weekend, and we got to
talking about the color change. To paraphrase what he said:
The reason has to be money. Purely money, nothing else. Theyre a
business. Theyd be idiots if it were any other reason besides money. Do you
know how expensive a color change like this is? They wouldnt be doing it
unless they were sure that it would save them money.
This got me to wondering: Why has Mega-Bloks gray always been so blay?
Is blay cheaper than gray? Why on Gods Green Earth would Mega-Bloks
choose not to color-match classic LEGO gray unless it were cheaper to
make it blay instead? Hmmmmmm.

| (...) Well I can say that my involvement in the hobby has been reduced almost totally to my local club (same one as Chris'). I will probably still make PAB purchases and get the Maersk Ship. I was going to get several of the Knight Buses until the (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.color)
